Usually in a rush when you get to St Pancras, speed-walking through the terminal to queue for tickets and check the departures board? Yep, us too.
But it’s Christmas and all that, so why not arrive a little early and soak up the festivities? After all, upstairs in the champagne bar overlooking the departing Eurostar trains, there’s a pretty special libation on offer at the moment.
Yes, luxe brand Tiffany & Co. has teamed up with Searcys and created a reinvention of the classic cocktail, inspired by its new eau de parfum.
The seasonal signature tipple is mixed using cognac, sugar, a dash of bitters and topped with Veuve Cliquot fizz, but it’s the addition of mandarin liqueur that makes this version extra special, giving a lively citrusy note. To garnish there’s a smattering of 23-carat gold leaf. Of course there is.

Whilst sipping at the iconic bar don’t forget to take in the view: centre stage is a mammoth 43-foot Tiffany-scented Christmas tree (yep, you read that correctly), a collaboration between the station and the specialty retailer.
Decorated in trademark turquoise, it features a whopping six hundred perfume bottle replicas, the same number of handcrafted paper iris flowers and baubles, and a 17-foot mechanical robot brought to life via animatronics.
The tree-topper? A 4-foot fragrance atomiser. Fancy another glass whilst taking it all in? You simply press the button. Merry Christmas. Literally. Hic.
