Have you been as hooked as us on Pose, the Netflix show about late 1980s NYC ball culture? Then you must sashay over to Coal Drops Yard for free vogue masterclasses later this month.
The classes come as part of Coal Drops’ first ever Pre-Pride Street Party (Saturday 15th June), which features some fierce interactive workshops from iconic designers and dancers, alongside DJ performances and pop-up moments from London’s LGBTQ creative community.
Other highlights include the yard’s summer resident ensemble the Floral Orchestra reworking LGBTQ anthems to kickstart the celebrations; while there’s also an installation from Lady Gaga-endorsed artist and costume designer Jack Irving, which promises to morph theatricality, technology and live performance. Oh my.
But most unmissable? Surely those vogue masterclasses (at 4pm and 6.15 pm) hosted by the one and only UK Father Jay Jay Revlon (pictured above), who’ll bring the pioneering dance movement from the 80s and 90s slapbang into the middle of Coal Drops Yard.

Thirsty? Swing by the tiny House of Cans bar and off-license on Lower Stable Street, who’re working with queer illustrator @sylviakdoodles to create a unique can for the day. Note to self: don’t chuck it away afterwards.
That’s not all that’s happening in in King’s Cross during Pride Month: Summer Love is the annual free open-air film fest, back with an LGBTQ+ programme on the canalside steps, which includes the recent cult hits 120BPM, Moonlight and Call Me By Your Name.
