latform theatre, the amorphous four space venue inside Central St Martins, has boasted an impressive programme of works from students, alumni and external companies alike since it opened back in 2011.
Known for facilitating experimental performances, Platform has forged a close relationship with the London International Mime Festival over the past few years.
This weekend (from now until 12th) the venue will host the launch of LIMF, as experimental acrobatic circus company, Barely Methodical Troupe take to the stage this month.
Four of the UK’s hottest acrobats will push against the edges of reality, stretching, challenging and testing the limits of collective physical endeavour.
Watch them tumble, fly and spin in a new show that rolls out power based acrobatics, parkour, b-boying and cyr wheel, all seasoned with the company’s trademark thoughtfulness and humour.
If you are a fan of the theatre, don’t miss picking up a copy of our new print issue out tomorrow for an in-depth look at Platform and chat with theatre manager Federica Lippi, and creative programmer Sarah Hardie.
