Where to find your free October issue of Gasholder

In which we preview all things Coal Drops Yard - as well as the usual reviews, interviews and gossip

We have to admit, we’re a tad excited. Having spent the last few years peering through the fencing off Granary Square as Thomas Heatherwick’s ‘kissing’ rooftops have gradually risen up, this month we all finally get to enter the all-new Coal Drops Yard.

The new issue of Gasholder, out today and free as ever, showcases the highlights to look out for once the gates are thrown open later this month.

In fact, the curious have had a taste of just what’s in store in recent weeks at rather hot new restaurant Coal Office, a dream-team collaboration between designer Tom Dixon and noted chef Asaaf Granit (pictured above), which has been quietly cooking up a storm. Read our tips on the seven dishes you must try on page 9.

Also inside, we preview loads more innovative operators about to move in, from small indie fashion labels to gleaming global tech giants. It’s tough for the traditional British High Street, but you get the feeling Coal Drops Yard will soon be held up as the blueprint for revitalised 21st century shopping. See you down there.
