Pink Oktoberfest

UK’s first and only Pink Oktoberfest is here

Head to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to witness a queer takeover of a German beer hall

fter the rip-roaring success of last year’s Pink Oktoberfest, the celebration returns to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for a day of Bavarian boozing and queer frivolities.

The unique fusion will see all the usual beer-by-the-stein-full, German grub, lederhosens and oompah bands topped with a serious sprinkling of LGBTQ+ fairy dust.

In what we’re hoping will look something like RuPaul’s Drag Race transported to a Bavarian beer hall, there’ll be drag kings and queens performing throughout the afternoon. Inside will be ample room to dance off all those bratwursts, plus fairground rides and stalls out front.

The event’s organiser Rebecca Paisis is a London-born LGBT+ nightlife entrepreneur who also runs Winter Pride.

“It’ll be a perfect mix of the authentic Oktoberfest atmosphere with an LGBT+ twist,” she says, “and they’ll be more glitter than you can shake a pretzel at.”

Prost to that, gurrrrl.
