Skip Garden: fancy a spot of twilight gardening?

Head past Granary Square in King's Cross for bit of green-fingered community bonding after work

N

ow that it gets dark so much later in the evening, and the weather is (for now at least) so much nicer, why not end another gruelling day in the office by meeting a bunch of friendly new people? And helping sustain what they call “the garden of a thousand hands” while you’re at it?

Yep, at the surprisingly bucolic Skip Garden (given its everso urban location), volunteers of all ages can get stuck right in to planting, weeding and sowing, working alongside experienced Global Generation gardeners.

You’ll probably sweat it out a bit, but after each session is a communal sit-down home-cooked meal. Lovely. We say: book it while the sun is shining and hope for the best.

Every Wed until Oct, 5pm–7pm, Skip Garden, Stable Street N1C. To book: kiloran@globalgeneration.org.uk
