MUST DO: new summer season at Park Theatre

The likes of Les Dennis, Blake Harris and Tala Gouveia take to the stage at Finsbury Park's creative space

N

ever been to the contemporary Park Theatre up in Finsbury Park? It’s well worth the trip, especially as the new season features a mix of new and existing writing, six world premieres, three revivals and a brace of homegrown productions. There are also now Monday performances and a new wider access pricing structure.

The world premiere of black comedy End Of The Pier by Danny Robins opens the new season (11th July), as legendary telly bloke Les Dennis stars alongside Blake Harrison, Nitin Ganatra and Tala Gouveia as a former comedy presenter and national treasure thrust back into the limelight, and at the centre of a media frenzy. Sounds like a corker.

Other shows include a revival of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, psychological thriller The Other Place, the unflinching Honour and a revival of J.M. Barrie’s original 1904 play of Peter Pan.

And while you’re in N4, you simply must eat at the excellent Kjot & Eldur at Brave Sir Robin (read our review here).
