Of course you want to make your pet famous

Fancy treating the pooch to a live pop-up photo booth? Head to Aria in Barnsbury tomorrow

Which self-respecting canine (or cat) doesn’t have their own Instagram account in 2018?

But if you want to go one further in the #unique stakes, make haste (Thurs 1st March) to awesome Islington-based interiors gaff Aria, who are teaming up with illustrator Rose Hill to create what they’re calling “a pet lover’s paradise” in their Barnsbury Hall showroom.

As you can see above, the collaboration brings together Pop Art-style illustration and digital photography, whilst letting every pet’s personality – because we all know our furry kids are one-offs, right? – shine with their very own portrait.

Four-legged pals can enjoy a live photoshoot experience with complimentary photography in Aria’s custom-made photo booth, alongside made-to-order portraits created by Rose Hill Designs, a London-based graphic artist who has worked with ZSL London Zoo, Harrods and many other brands.

The bad news? We hear the slots for the photobooth are pretty much booked up, although there’ll be a first come, first served policy if you choose to turn up with your pooch and queue.

Best of all – and how much more N1 can you get? – the event is sponsored by pet drinks specialists Woof & Brew, who’ll be providing Pawsecco for the night. Let’s hope there’s the real thing for the humans, too. Hic.

For added retail therapy, there’s also the launch of an exclusive pet accessory collection designed and handmade by Rose, with limited edition artwork and merch including cards, stationery and accessories.

If you can’t make it down, the show will be on display for a couple of weeks, with the opportunity to order an illustration of your pet if you so wish. #Pawsome.

Thursday 1st March 2018, 5.30-8pm, Aria Showroom, Barnsbury Hall, Barnsbury Street, N1 1PN. More info here
