Billy and Jack are hosting a 24-hour supper club

And the MasterChef losers are doing it to raise money for World Cancer Day this weekend

So this is special. This Saturday, affable MasterChef losers Billy & Jack are marking World Cancer Day with a mightily impressive one-off 24-hour supper club. There’s a personal element for Billy too, who was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer last year (thankfully he’s now well on the way to recovery).

Taking place at the Great Northern Hotel’s Plum + Spilt Milk restaurant, the pair will prep and cook for nine consecutive sittings right through the night (ouch), spanning brunch, lunch, dinner and late-night feasting.

Finishing at a yawn-inducing 11am on Sunday, each booking lasts two hours and comprises a 3-course meal, plus nibbles and a drink. Big name chefs and food writers joining them include Plum head honcho Mark Sargeant, Emily Roux and Sophie Michell.

Now who’s doing the washing up?
