With their infamous Top 100 DJs poll now very much a global beast unto itself, long-standing dance music institution DJ Magazine also throw an annual industry back-slapp-athon just focused on celebrating British talent. And there’s still huge competition from the nation’s sizable pool of DJs, producers, venues and promoters, all keen to pick up a coveted BoB gong for the mantelpiece.

The festive knees-up returns to Egg tomorrow night, where last year’s event was also held, and if it’s anything like that party, expect an absolute roadblock, as clubbers get to enjoy near-festival levels of dance music celebs playing across the venue’s multiple dancefloors, and all for a fiver.

Expect lots of clubland royalty in the building, plus music from the cream of the nations spinners including DJ Boring, Hannah Wants, Special Request aka Paul Woolford, Luke Solomon, Solardo, Hatcha, live techno from Mr. G plus loads more.
14th Dec, 8pm-3am, tickets available from RA here. More info here, 200 York Way, N7

And break into 2018 at Egg

The latest, warehouse-style main room has just been unveiled at the King’s Cross superclub, featuring a fearsome new sound system, lighting rig and adjoining roof terrace. It promises to be a right corker for New Year’s Eve, with Berlin-based techno duo Pan-Pot, Cocoon’s Tobi Neumannn and homegrown star Kyle E. Plus ice cannons, lasers and confetti aplenty. 31st Dec, 9pm-10am, more here, 200 York Way, N7
