Where to find your free December issue of Gasholder

Unmissable highlights for Xmas and New Year, a look back at 2017 - and the usual artsy features, food reviews and interviews

Where the hell did 2017 go? Anyway, December it is, and inside this, our last issue of the year, we look back at some of the changes in and around the neighbourhood, from new foodie openings to bars, galleries and the emergence of King’s Boulevard shopping parade.

It goes without saying that we a particular soft spot for the shiny new Somers Town bridge (above) over the Regent’s Canal, the first to be built in this part of the capital for a century. It finally opened in the summer – and has added a whole new dimension to the area around St Pancras Lock.

Elsewhere inside the issue, writer Travis Elborough rummages through other people’s diaries, photographer Andy Sewell captures unusual images of Hampstead Heath, and we decide to set out from King’s Cross and hike along the Circle Line’s 14-mile route.

We also reveal the tastiest Sunday lunch we’ve had in ages – and count down a few choice things to do over Xmas and NYE. Feeling festive yet?
