Where to find your October print issue of Gasholder

Jeremy Corbyn as you've never seen him before. Plus the latest openings, food reviews and interviews with all manner of interesting people

Yep, that is a certain Jeremy Corbyn looking all fetching in a skin-tight spandex suit. But why is he gracing the cover of our new issue?

Well, this drawing by Hackney-based artist JAKe heads up a new anthology comic book about the green-fingered socialist and head boy of the Labour Party.

Inside, we chat with independent King’s Cross publishers Self Made Hero about why they commissioned a whole book of Corbyn cartoons (why not?). Consisting entirely of pieces submitted by the public, it looks to emphasise Jeremy’s endearing qualities – things that are less easy to come by with the Maybot.

Corbyn-mania aside, this month we check out new branches of Meat Liquor and Grind (y’know, the hip Old Street coffee shop that’s now gone all grown up).

We also find out what’s so good about the London Flower School, explore why Bloomsbury is a unique part of the capital and have a chat with a single mum who’s created a play about the realities of what she calls Muvvahood. We even pop over the Channel for a few days on the Cote D’Opale.
