MUST DO: Noshville

Another weekend, another foodfest. Plus tasty lunches and random circus happenings

KERB’s latest festival is Noshville

Not content with feeding students, office workers and the odd stray tourist alike daily on King’s Boulevard (as well as across the capital), streetfood behemoth Kerb is back with another two-day weekend themed bash in Granary Square. Expect 16 of their finest US-leaning stalls from hot dogs and brisket to spicy fried oysters and melon margueritas (we can particularly recommend the buttermilk chicken at Leytonstone’s Taco Dave). There’s also deep south choonage from Maverick’s musicians and DJs. And best of all it’s 100% free (well, the entry bit, not the food and drink obvs). Fri 2nd June, 5pm-10.30pm and Sat 3rd June, 11am-8pm. More info. Granary Square N1C

LOOK UP!

Above your heads
If you’re a Granary Square regular, watch out for a surreal circus group popping up across the area as part of the summer programme. Circumference is a British ‘contemporary collective’ who create interactive acrobatic journeys where performance, installation, and experience meet. Intriguing. Until 30th Sept. More @kingscrossN1C

Finally, try a pit stop at healthy arrival Maple & King’s. The brainchild of Canadian chef Adria Wu, the simple offer is seasonal salads laid out colourfully on a counter. The other day we chose a mix of all five daily specials (at £5.95 for a decent sized box), which included kale, cauliflower, toasted seeds, shredded carrots and courgette. Protein addicts might opt for add-ons like tahini spiced free-range chicken, miso salmon or five-spice tofu in sesame almond butter dressing. The terrace is an afternoon sun-trap, too. 3 Pancras Square N1C
