Where to find your free February issue of Gasholder

10 new happenings to look out for this year. Plus the usual restaurant reviews, interviews and more

Issue 24 GH coverIt’s nearly February already – how did that happen? And let’s face it, most of those hastily-formed resolutions from earlier in the month will be dust now. Right?

The indisputable fact is that most of the year still yawns ahead of us. And with all the potential dramas on the world stage, it’s comforting to know that there are some exciting new happenings (not to mention one-off events) around King’s Cross and the N1 postcode in the coming months.

In our first issue of the new year we look at a handful of these, including chef Adria Wu’s second outlet Maple & King’s, new fashion boutique 18 Montrose, and a celebration of ceramics at Central St Martin’s.

Want to party instead? Then don’t miss the annual Winter Pride, an all-nighter which takes place next month at The Scala.

Elsewhere we hear from a comic whose show ponders what he calls “manly-ness”, go on the hunt for decent ‘dryanuary’ beers and wines, swing by Soho’s Kiln, and pig out at the new Inamo in Mornington Crescent. We also hop on a canal boat for a very 2017 floating (and not-at-all chilly) dining experience.
