Want to find out why King’s Cross and Bloomsbury is now known as the Knowledge Quarter? Well two local walks, organised by the KQ team, aim to reveal more about the world class institutions and wealth of artefacts located here, plus the people and stories behind them.

The first walk takes place on Thursday 23rd July at 6pm and will take a host of local secrets, from where the government stores its art collection to the building which contains the original Room 101, and where you can see robes of office worn by the Queen Mother.

Then on Saturday 25th July at 11am, the focus includes where Charles Dickens built a theatre in his garden and where Hans Christian Anderson outstayed his welcome, plus a look at London’s original ice wells.

More info and to book either of the walks on the Knowledge Quarter website
