If you can’t fly to Rio for the Olympics, you could always try something sporty slapbang in the heart of King’s Cross. For this all-dayer have a go at yoga, bootcamp training or rock-climbing, or try your hand at tightrope walking, sack racing – or even competitive (and nostalgic) pursuits like an egg and spoon race. The events will be taking place all day in Granary Square and Lewis Cubitt Square. Free for kids and adults alike. Saturday 6th August. More info here

All summer this app-led, interactive walking tour leads you in and around King’s Cross. Kids will love seeing the new habitats that have been created to help encourage our fuzzy friends – and adults will be chuffed to earn vouchers to places like Dishoom, Grain Store, the Lighterman, Greek Larder and Skip Garden Kitchen.
