Must Do: a Pancras Square party, twilight gardening & an exotic menu

Three sugestions for the week ahead, from the Drake & Morgan dancefloor to the Three Little Birds dining room

1. Party in Pancras Square

We reckon the food offer at new N1C opening Drake & Morgan is mighty fine, but that’s only the start of it at this two-floor venue. There are regular late-night happenings in the cavernous downstairs bar at the weekends. This Saturday is of particular interest, as our mate DJ Ben Osborne is the guest, playing cutting edge electronica, psychedelia and deeper subterranean beats. An extensive drinks list helps oil the path to the dance floor from either the beautiful central bar, a private booth or one of the special kitchen ‘pods’, a bit like throwing your own well-stocked house party inside a well healed venue, in fact. See you on the dancefloor.
Saturday 21st November, 7pm-midnight, free entry. 6 Pancras Square N1C

2. Come Twilight Gardening

Fancy relaxing at the end of a busy day staring at a screen by doing something completely different, and meeting new people while helping to build the garden of a thousand hands, too? Simply pop down to the Skip Garden off Lewis Cubitt Square on Wednesday evenings from 5pm – 7.30pm for their Twilight Gardening session. You will work alongside the Global Generation’s gardeners who love to share their knowledge on growing food in the middle of the city. Each session ends with a beautiful home-cooked meal prepared with love by the Skip Garden Kitchen team.
Twilight Gardening sessions take place fortnightly. To book your space email ciara@globalgeneration.org.uk

3. Try Three Little Birds

This relaxed new experience hidden in WC1 is the baby of chefs Chris Jordan and Alejandro Diaz and blends locally sourced, seasonal produce, together with “quality and exotic ingredients”, they say. Listing only the ingredients of each dish on the menu means the dishes “have an element of surprise”. They also appear to have the vital Instagram factor. The location is tucked-away in Mount Pleasant, but word is inevitably getting out.
